Hey Guys,
Today I want to share the new Juvia's Place collection with you! I was super excited last week to get an email informing me that I would be getting a package from Juvia's place. I filled out a PR form a while back so it was a nice surprise. For those of you unfamiliar with Juvia's Place it is a beauty brand that caters to people of color. The beauty industry hasn't always kept women of color in mind when creating beauty products. Juvia's Place was created by Chichi Eburu to fill that void and not only offer high quality yet affordable beauty products to people of color but for people of all colors.

The new collection is a collaboration with Fumi Desalu-Vold who is an actress, model, blogger, and YouTuber. This collaboration has been in the works for about two years and finally launched last week. Fumi wanted to create a collection that not only stayed true to her style/essence but one that also represented the strength and beauty of women world wide; thus the Fumi x Juvia's Place Queen Collection was born. Keep reading to learn about each of the products in the collections as well as my thoughts on the palette that I received!

At first glance, these pans are huge! This is a universal palette that can be used on your whole face. Each one of these shadow's names have meaning to Fumi and are near and dear to her heart. The shadows are extremely bold and pigmented. The matte and shimmer formulas are very consistent with other Juvia's Place Palettes. These colors apply nicely and blend great. With the bold shades it's best to start off lightly and build up the color since they are so pigmented. As with all shimmers, I feel that they apply best and most pigmented using your finger. Since I am more of a neutral girl, I was glad to see that there are some neutral shades in this palette such as FDV Approved and Sister2Sister. You can also layer Glam with FDV Approved to make a pretty peachy/pink shade. Ole, Sister2Sister, and Seven can all be used as blushes while Glam and FDV Approved can be used as highlighters.

This is such a beautiful addition to this collection. The character image of Fumi is so beautiful and I love the red and gold detailing. It's a pretty good size and great for travel. Fun fact: The character images of Fumi on this collection was actually inspired by a picture that her photographer husband, Ole took of her.

Since I have seen a ton of bright colorful looks using this palette, I wanted to show you that it can also be used to create a simple natural look.  Below is the look that I created.

Overall, I am really impressed with the thought that went into this collection. The graphics and art on everything is beautiful. I love the personal touches behind everything. The palette has great pigmentation and while it caters to people that are fans of bright bold color, you can still create some pretty neutral looks.

A big thanks to Juvia's Place for sending me this collection to share with my readers!
