The subscription is $21.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every quarter called BoxyLuxe. This is an additional $28.99 a quarter.  The theme for June was "Getaway". Review: Jaclyn Cosmetics So Rich Lipsticks

Hey Guys,
So I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to do this review after all of the drama surrounding this launch. However, I did a poll on Instagram and 86% of the people that voted still wanted to see it. Before I even get into my review of the lipsticks, I'm going to share my honest opinion on the whole matter. This is my blog and my personal opinion. I'm sure not everyone shares the same views as me and that's totally fine.
Review: Jaclyn Cosmetics So Rich Lipsticks
But here are my thoughts...there are so many more serious things to worry about going on in this world aside from a damn lipstick not being perfect. The whole beauty community has been so dramatic about this and it's honestly ridiculous. Do I think Jaclyn fucked up and made some bad business choices? Yes. Does that mean she should be bullied and dragged through the mud over it by customers, beauty influencers, and other professionals in the beauty industry? No. Sorry, but no one deserves to be treated like that. NO ONE. As the business owner yes she should be held accountable but the way people are acting is disgusting. Do I think that she took a bit too long to come forward and speak on the matter? Yes. But I also understand this is her BUSINESS and she has to consult lawyers, her team, the labs, etc. before she speaks on all of the different issues. I spent over $100.00 on 6 lipsticks and did have some fibers on a couple of them that I noticed while taking blog pics. Do you know what I did? I picked them off and moved along. It didn't look like mold, human hair, etc. It was pretty obvious that it was a fiber. Now would I be upset if I had human hairs on my products? Yes. But guess what? She has stated SEVERAL times that anyone that has ANY issues can get a full refund and free replacement. If all of my lipsticks were hairy or broken then I would have just contacted them and returned them. That is what I did when I was unhappy with the Becca palette that she collaborated on. For the people claiming to get burned by the lipstick or cut by metal shards in the lipstick. I honestly find it hard to believe. It's really easy to have a red mark on your skin after applying product anywhere and wiping it off. I do swatches all the time and it always happens. BUT if I am completely wrong and they are in fact being burned or cut by the lipstick then of course they are 100% entitled to a lawsuit. If they are lying then karma will play itself out. I have no proof of either or so that's really all I have to say about that. If you were worried about your lipstick being unsafe, all you had to do was put it aside like I did until Jaclyn spoke on it. And if you still don't believe her explanation, simply return it. If you don't want to support her anymore, then don't. But back to my point of this rant. I honestly just think this drama is sad. I have had far worse things happen to me in my life and have seen far more serious things in others lives to worry about a faulty "hairy, moldy, broken" lipstick. Makeup just really isn't that important or serious in the grand scheme of things....So anyways, let's move on to my review of the lipsticks.
