Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my BoxyCharm for September. For those of you unfamiliar with BoxyCharm, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 4-5 FULL SIZED products each month. The subscription is $21.00 a month and usually has a theme.  The theme for September was "Wild Flower".  I was pretty content when I saw the items we were getting this month. I didn't like last month's box at all. This was the first time ever in the past two years I've been subbed to BoxyCharm that I disliked the whole box. I decided not to even post about it since it was all negative. I was happy that this month was an improvement from that. Keep reading to see what I got and to hear my thoughts. Also, make sure to check out the discount codes for the month!

Pretty Vulgar Nightingale Eyeshadow Palette $35.00
Review: BoxyCharm September 2018
I was pretty excited to try this Pretty Vulgar Palette. I have only tired one other product, their liquid lipstick which was pretty nice. The packaging is really cute. These shadows have decent pigmentation but the colors are somewhat a miss for me. I prefer warm tones over cool tones any day. Also, I have a palette pretty similar. It's not Boxy Charm's fault that I have a million palettes. I do wish we had the choice of picking between this palette and a warm tone one but I get that's not how the purchase these items for the boxes. I most likely will pass on to a friend or sell it so I'm not going to swatch it below.

Laura Geller Baked Blush N Brighten in Tropic Hues $28.00
Review: BoxyCharm September 2018
Many people wanted the Girlactik Beauty highlighter duo that was the other variation. I was actually happy to get this instead. I use blush everyday and do not use cream highlighters. This color is very pretty for everyday and gives your cheeks a nice subtle glow. I like this color alot more than I thought I was going to.

Hank & Henry Liquid Lipstick in Petal Pusher
Review: BoxyCharm September 2018
This was a hot ticket item in this month's box. There were atleast 20 different lip color variations with about 4 different brands. I personally think that is too much. While I was glad I was able to try this brand that is new to me; the formula is good but not my favorite. The color itself is very pretty for fall but not something I would wear on a daily basis.

Even though the concept is cool, I don't wear liquid liner. I will pass this to a friend or save for a giveaway.

I personally feel like you can never have too many brushes. They eventually fall apart or the bristles get rough. I was happy to see this set. I'm sure all 3 brushes will eventually get used for something. My one complaint is I wish the blending brush was more full and fluffy.

TOTAL VALUE: $117.00

Overall, this box was better than the previous month's but still not my favorite. I def had a few misses in this box. My favorite product from the box was the Laura Geller baked blush. I decided to skip on the BoxyLuxe upgrade because while the extra products were nice; I didn't feel like I NEEDED them. I did however upgrade to BoxyLuxe for December. I'm sure it will be great and I can use them items to give as gifts if I don't want to keep some of them. The spoilers for October so far are another Pur x Boxy Charm palette (it doesn't look that great to be honest), an IT Cosmetics SuperHero mascara, and a Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick (pumped!). Keep an eye out for my review of that box next month!
