Get the Look for Less: Miranda Kerr Sexy in Sheer

Hey Guys,
I'm back with another edition of Get the Look for Less! You can check out my previous edition HERE. This time around, I found the below image of Miranda Kerr. I'm not sure if she's still a Victoria's Secret Angel or not. I thought this outfit was sexy without showing TOO MUCH. I love the sheer top. While some people may just wear a black bra underneath, I like that she chose a little bit classier look with a black tank or bodysuit underneath. I'm not sure if the blazer was needed but maybe it was chilly out?  I love the strappy heels as well. Check out what I came up with below!

Get the Look for Less: Mandy Moore Edgy Plaid

Hey Guys,
Today I am bringing back an oldie but goodie. For those of you that have been following Leopard Lace and Cheesecake from the very beginning remember my "Get the Look for Less" posts. I would find pictures of celebrities and try to recreate their outfits at affordable stores. I would link all similar items below the pictures. I stopped doing these posts because they were VERY time consuming.

I have been adding more fashion back into my blog and decided to bring it back! I will only post one look per post instead of 3-5 like I used to do. I may end up changing it but for now that's what I'm going to do. Another thing I will do differently is I will add a shopping bar below the picture instead of adding a bunch of pictures of items. That way, I can find more than one option, and not have a TON of pictures in the post.

In these type of posts, I most likely will not be able to find the EXACT outfits but rather take inspiration from the outfits. I will keep the items more on the affordable side unless I can find something almost exact. Then I will include more expensive options as well. I like to share affordable items with my readers that more people have access to so there will always be those pieces listed. If you guys have a specific celebrity style, picture of an outfit, or celebrity in general you want me to recreate; feel free to let me know in the comments or send me an email with the picture! I would love your input, ideas, and requests, etc!

For this post, I decided to recreate the below outfit worn by Mandy Moore. She was one of my pop idols growing up back when she a singer. It has been so cool to see her on the show This Is Us! I absolutely love the show and think she is phenomenal in it. I thought the outfit below was pretty unique and decided to give it a try. I would never think to mix this long plaid dress with a leather jacket but it works! Check out the shop bar below to see what I came out up!

Tutorial: Tarte Maneater Palette

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my second ever makeup tutorial! I haven't attempted a tutorial since the first one that I created in 2015. It took so long between my camera battery dying, memory card getting full, and not really being able to tell what was actually in frame never mind editing. A couple weeks ago I had a Saturday where I didn't have plans until dinner so I decided to take the time to film another tutorial. I have a monitor that I have facing me as part my filming set up so that I can see when I am out of frame in my camera. This time around I made sure my memory card was empty and my battery fully charged.

I would say that filming was a lot easier with the monitor and things went more smoothly. However, I have been filming on auto focus for about a year or so. I switched because I film alot when I am by myself. Manual focus is pretty tough when you are alone because you have no one to sit in for you while you adjust your camera settings. So after filming was done everything looked fine. Once I uploaded my images and video onto my laptop I realized that alot of my pictures were blurry and so was the video at times. Come to find out, my camera kept focusing in on the flowers on my backdrop instead of my face. This is super frustrating because I worked so hard on this video. I decided it wasn't too blurry and it was only at certain times so I decided to go forward and publish this video.

I bought new fabric that is a plain dark gray. I am going to use this going forward but am also thinking about filming in manual again. I would love everyone's input in opinion/tips on this.

The palette that I used for this tutorial is the Tarte Maneater Palette. You can see my review HERE.

March Favorites

Hey Guys,
I'm so glad that its April! Even though I hate to see time fly by, I am so looking forward to warmer weather. It was pretty cold in March but it actually felt like spring yesterday. March was a pretty good month for me. I saw Florida Georgia Line in concert at Mohegan Sun (post HERE), I booked a trip to Mexico for July, I bought tickets to FGL/BSB/Nelly at Fenway Park and Justin Bieber at Gilette Stadium for this summer. One of the resolutions that I made for 2017 is that I have decided to spend more of my money on "experiences" that will create life long memories instead of material things. I had a bunch of new favorites this month. Check out my video below to see what I was loving!
