Review: VIIcode Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles*

Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on eye masks that were sent to me to test out and review. The brand is called VII Code and the product that I will be discussing is their O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for Dark Circles. I have suffered with dark circles since childhood. I'm not quite sure why I have them so bad but it's something that I am very self conscious about. I am always interested in hearing about products that are supposed to reduce the appearance of dark circles. The VII Code are different from other eye sheet masks because they are an overnight treatment that can be worn up to 8 hours. For the past 3 weeks I have tried out these eye masks and am ready to share my thoughts. Keep reading to hear more about this product!

Here is what is said about this product on the VIIcode website:
"Designed for continuous 8-hour use overnight with a natural, alcohol-free, and non-irritating formula. The individually wrapped O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for dark circles will help nourish the skin under and around your eyes, so you look young, refreshed, and well rested again.

BENEFITS
Helps eliminate dark circles and puffiness effectively.
Skin becomes brighter and more even complexion.
Minimizes signs of aging and damage.
Skin is firming and hydrated.
INGREDIENTS
Grapeseed Oil: Extremely rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, which have performed well in clinical anti-wrinkle trials. It is also rich in OPC. These flavonoids remove free radicals and promote the restoration of collagen at the cellular level, making your skin feel firmer and minimizing signs of damage.

Seaweed: Helps the skin cells in fighting free radicals produced because of radiation and chemical exposure, food metabolic activities, and exposure to sun. Also helps in restoring the normal hydration of skin cells that prevents the signs of aging and protects against wrinkle formation.

White Tea: Helps body stay hydrated and encourages longer moisture retention for your skin. Combine with potent anti-aging compounds, and it's an option to consider for keeping fine lines and wrinkles at bay."

Directions:
Each box comes with 6 sets of eye masks. You are supposed to use the eye masks 2-3 times a week for up to 8 hours. Realistically, the best time to use this mask treatment is overnight while you are sleeping. For best results, use a full course treatment of 3 boxes.

There are two sides to this mask. A white felt/cotton side and a gel side. First peel of the plastic covering on the gel side. Next place the under your eye pressing firmly so that it sticks. While you sleep the gel absorbs into your skin. When you wake up and take the eye masks off you will see that most of the gel is gone from the white sheet mask.

On to my thoughts:
When you first put these eye masks on there is an instant cooling feeling. I really liked the cooling effect and it felt really relaxing. The very first time I used them I think I put them too close to my eyes as they were a little irritated from the ingredients in them. Once I moved them masks down a little it was better. I put them on before bed and watched tv before falling asleep. Since these masks have a little weight to them, wearing them does taking some getting used to. I found myself taking them off in my sleep usually in the early hours of the morning. However, once I got used to them, I kept them on throughout the night/morning. The cooling sensation does eventually go away but since I fall asleep with them on I'm not sure when it happens. I would assume that the cooling sensation goes away once most of the gel is absorbed into your skin. I really like the ingredients in the masks and how they make my skin feel. In terms of the claims, I don't have puffiness or noticeable wrinkles so I can't comment on that. However, my eyes do feel refreshed and hydrated the next after using these masks. When it comes to reducing my dark circles, I haven't really seen much improvement but I have only used one box (6 treatments). The recommended treatment is three boxes. I would be interested in seeing how my dark circles look after a full 3 box treatment.

Here are photos of my dark circles before and after the 6 treatments:

As you can see there isn't a huge improvement. The lighting is a little different too but my dark circles are noticeable in both pictures. Either way, I was happy that I got the opportunity to try these out.
