Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette By Mario

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette By Mario. This was the second palette that Kim (A Very Sweet Blog) gifted to me. I was really drawn to this palette originally. The color scheme of neutral shadows is what originally interested me. But after reading Kim's review and seeing the swatches along with the many other reviews that raved about it I needed this palette. I was SO EXCITED when Kim sent this to me. Keep reading to hear my thoughts!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette By Mario
This palette was created by Mario Dedivanovic who is most known for being Kim Kardashian's makeup artist. The palette has a mixture of matte/shimmer/metallic neutral and jewel tones. It is currently out of stock on the Sephora site and I'm really not sure if it will be restocked since it is limited edition.

Here is a picture of the palette with the flash:

On to my thoughts:
I have so many mixed thoughts on this palette after using it. The colors are absolutely beautiful, great pigmentation, and blend wonderfully. However, I feel like some colors are very similar and weren't needed. The two gold shades are very similar and the palette didn't really need both. There is also no matte bone or cream colored shadow which I feel is needed to create a complete look. Kim is supposed to be a satin finish while Isabel is matte but that don't look THAT different when applied on the lid. While I do love that these are warmer tones, I feel that the Modern Renaissance Palette does a better job at including colors that allow you to create a complete look. I need to play around with this palette some more and experiment with these jewel tones. I created a look with the green color Bronx but of course I forgot to take pictures. I really do like both palettes but if I had to pick one over the other I would go with the Modern Renaissance Palette.
