Review: December Wantable Accessories Collection

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on my December Wantable Accessories Collection! I decided to note that I wanted more unique pieces and asked them to check out my previous collections so that they don't send me similar items. I was really looking forward to seeing what they would send me.

For those of you unfamiliar with Wantable, it is a personal styling service that you can sign up for monthly (or whenever you would like). It is $40 for your first box and $36.00 every month after that. You get 4-5 products that are tailored to your beauty profile that you fill out when signing up. If you are not happy with your collection, you can send the whole box back and get a refund. They have 3 different type collections; an Accessories Collection, a Makeup Collection, and an Intimates Collection. They recently just added two more subscriptions that are a little different. The Style Edit and the Fitness Edit. These boxes are a little bit more pricey. You pay a $20 styling fee and they send you 5 hand picked items that you can choose to purchase or send back.

Here is what I recieved in my December Accessories Collection:
December Wantable Accessories Collection

Libby Drop Earrings Gold MSRP $18.00 (Wantable Price $10.14)
December Wantable Accessories Collection
I thought that these earrings were pretty and not something that I already have. The only negative thing is that I think the antique gold metal with the black/gray stone is a weird pairing. I think these would look better with a silver metal.

Heather Earrings Gold MSRP $16.00 (Wantable Price $9.01)
December Wantable Accessories Collection
I really love these earrings. I wear hoop earrings ALOT since they go with so much. I don't have any oval shape hoops so I was happy to see these. I have been wearing them a TON.

Andrana Necklace Gold MSRP $18.00 (Wantable Price $10.14)
December Wantable Accessories Collection
This is such a unique necklace. I really have nothing like it. It will dress up a plain shirt perfectly.

Marloe Necklace Gold MSRP $19.00 (Wantable Price $10.70)
December Wantable Accessories Collection
At first I thought that I already had a similar necklace, but when I looked closer, I noticed there are little rhinestones/jewels inside of a clear piping. This is such a unique and cool necklace. The only issue is that it is a magnetic closure which comes apart very easily. It is alot a little tight around my neck.

Overall, I was very happy to see that my stylist listened to my request and sent me unique pieces that I don't already have. I was pleased with what was sent and definitely think it was worth the cost of the subscription. I decided to skip January because of all of the holiday shopping I  have done. I can't wait to get my next collection in February.

Reivew: ColourPop Holiday Haul

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share some ColourPop lippies that I got as a Christmas present from my good friend El (from The Beauty Isle). I have wanted some new lipsticks for a while and was so excited to try out some of ColourPop's newer colors.
ColourPop Holiday Haul

ColourPop Lippie Stix and Pencil in Grunge $5.00
ColourPop Holiday Haul
Grunge is a cool toned plum brown with a matte finish. It is such a gorgeous color. It looks great paired with simple eye makeup. It doesn't took too brown either.

Lady is a cool toned dirty burgundy with a matte finish. I think it pulls a little more brown ish on me but you can definitely see the burgundy in it. I thought this would be my favorite color but I actually like Grunge a little more.

Bumble is a dusty warm terracotta. I have wanted this color for quite a while now. It is such a gorgeous everyday color for me. I think it looks great with my skintone as well. This was surprisingly drying on me. I didn't think any of the other Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks were super drying which is weird. You definitely need to apply lip balm before using this. Maybe my lips have just been dryer than normal which is why I felt that this was so drying. Regardless, I love the color.

StingRaye is a cool toned mauve brown. This really is a pretty color. The tube makes the color look lighter and pinker than it actually is. It definitely is more brown with a mauve tint to it. I didn't find this as drying as bumble. The wear time was about the same as the rest of the ColourPop liquid lipsticks. All stay on me for about 5 hours. They need a little bit of touch up after eating.
ColourPop Holiday Haul
Overall, I was really happy with the colors that El got for me. They are all wearable colors for me personally, I really love ColourPop lip products in general. They are amazing and so affordable! I really want to pick up the new Taurus and Aquarius colors from the new Kathleen Lights collection.

Here are swatches of each lip product:

Review: Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on the Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind set! For those of you that follow my blog, you know I am a big fan of Bite Beauty. They have come out with a $25.00 lip set around the holidays for the past few years. I originally fell in love with the brand when I got their High Pigment Pencil set for Christmas a few years ago. Bite Beauty has amazing lip product by they are by no means inexpensive. One fill sized lip product runs for around $24.00. That is why these lip kits and their holiday minis are a great value. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on the kit that I picked up!

Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
This kit comes with 4 deluxe sized minis of their Matte Creme Lip Crayons.
Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
They come in a cute little tin that has a decent sized mirror on the inside.

Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
This is my favorite color. I feel it is the most every day color of the bunch.

According to the Sephora site, Cafe is a peachy brown nude.
Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
It looks more like a nude pink on me and is too light for my liking.

Coulis
Coulis is a raspberry red. I feel it definitely has a pink undertone to it.
Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
I really love this color and think it is great for the holidays or if you want a pop of color.

Aubergine
Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
Aubergine is an eggplant color.
 Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
This color reminds me alot of Mac Rebel and Nyx Butter Lipstick in Hunk. I might just be slightly more pink.

Here are swatches of each lip crayon:
Bite Beauty Best Bite Rewind
L-R: Torte, Cafe, Aubergine, Coulis

Overall, I think this is a great set an an awesome value. I can't say enough good things about Bite Beauty lip products. All colors are creamy, extremely pigmented, and apply beautifully. These have a sweet tart like scent to them which makes me love them even  more. Even though Cafe didn't work out for me, it may work out for other people. I am still glad that I bought this set. The set comes with a great range of colors and I think will work for most  if not all skin tones. The only negative thing about these lip crayons is that I don't consider them true matte lipsticks. As you can see from the pictures they have a shine to them. Either way, it is great set.

Here is a picture of me wearing Coulis:

Since the set is currently sold out, I suggest that you snag any of their Bite Mix and Mingle double sided mini lipsticks! They go for $14.00 and those don't disappoint either! You can check them out HERE !

Review: Black Paint 5 Step Skincare System*

Hey Guys,

As most of you know, Asian Skincare has become huge in the US beauty industry and all over the world. Today I'm going to share a new 5 Step Skincare System that is making its way into the US Market from Japan. It is called Black Paint and is unlike anything I've ever tried before. Keep reading to learn about this skincare system and to hear my thoughts after testing it out for the past month.

Black Paint 5 Step Skincare System

Here is what is said about Black Paint on the company website:

"BLACK PAINT®, an organic skincare brand established in Kyoto 15 years ago by Myyuki Co.Ltd. Since ancient times, plant oil treatments have been taught to be a secret to beautiful skin. Based on this concept, BLACK PAINT® skincare products are made from natural, organic materials which are blended from more than 100 types of plant oils, more than 50 types of essential oils, Kishu Bichotan Charcoal that suitable for various skin and body parts. BLACK PAINT® soaps sold more than one million units in Japan in year 2012 alone.
BLACK PAINT® soap has won the Grand Gold Medal of Monde Selection Award Winner (a globally-renowned award run by International Institute for Quality Selections, Belgium that evaluate quality of each product and grant them quality label) for 5 consecutive years since 2009 under the category of Cosmetics & Toiletries in Japan.
The Concept of Black Paint
Miyuki Maeda searched the world over for the natural materials that would best support the skin's self-healing and protection processes.
Natural Ingredients
Today, we use more than 100 kinds of plant-derived oils, essential minerals and other natural ingredients such as silk, honey and brown sugar, together with various plant oils and essential oils from all over the world. Our products' fragrance comes from steam-distilled essential oils, not synthetic perfumes. The usage of plant oils and organic ingredients has been approved by organic certification bodies in Germany and France.
Pore Care
An average adult has around 200,000 pores on his or her face. Maintaining clean, healthy skin pores is important for maintaining healthy (and healthy looking) skin. Dirt and oil on pores may cause those pores get clogged and encourage the growth of bacteria which would causes inflammation and irritation. No matter how strong your cleanser/ facial wash is, it is almost impossible to extract all the waste inside the skin's pores. But there is a better way discovered along ago by women who visited hot springs. When the alkaline water of the hot springs touched their skin (which is acidic) it triggered the skin to restore its normal balance by releasing more acid. This additional acid pushed out all the waste from within, leaving pores completely clean. That's why BLACK PAINT has a slightly alkaline pH level. Most face cleansers use a solvent that removes makeup by melting its oils. Unfortunately, they also remove the skin’s natural oils and washes away the good with the bad. BLACK PAINT soap removes only makeup, with a gentle foaming film of vegetable oil that lets it slip easily off the skin's surface.
Suppors Skin Microbiota
Human Microbiota is the microscopic organisms living in human body. The human skin is usually slightly acid, mostly due to the effect of sebum secretion by skin glands which contained lactic acid. Like our intestine, lactic acid bacteria act as a barrier to prevent microbes (other bacteria) from entering our body.
Vital to skin health, these bacteria digest skin oil, dead cells and minerals from perspiration, turning them into a natural moisturizing cream that acts as a barrier between the inner skin and the outer environment. With essential moisture locked in and dirt out, skin stays soft, fresh and radiant. Using only natural ingredients without any preservatives, BLACK PAINT helps maintain the functionality of the bacteria in our skin which balances the skin’s immune system.
No Syntehetic Preservatives
The BLACK PAINT skincare series is made solely of natural ingredients; does not use any synthetic preservatives, disinfectants, fragrances, colorings, anti-oxidants, or ultraviolet absorbers.
We refuse to use them because many are already proven to cause cancer and other illnesses as well as damage the eco-system.
What’s more, they can kill the beneficial bacteria that help skin maintain its natural beauty. Through BLACK PAINT soap, we hope to live in a globally safe environment despite our hectic lifestyle.
Gently Manufactured
We have worked long and hard to develop manufacturing processes that don't compromise the integrity of our products. For example, BLACK PAINT soap is cold pressed -- almost unheard-of these days. Cold processing allows glycerin, a plant-derived emollient, to remain in the soap instead of being boiled away. Cleansing naturally leaves skin soft, radiant and healthy. We also do not use emulsifiers to keep the oil and water elements of a formula mixed together. We believe you would rather shake the bottle before each use than have synthetic chemicals touch your skin."
