Review: Beautisol Exscrub Me? Citrus Face Exfoliant*

Hi Ladies!
Today I am going to review Beautisol's Exscrub Me? Citrus Face Exfoliant. iFabbo sent me this product for testing and review purposes. I really enjoy exfoliating scrubs and own many so this product really interested me.

For those of you unfamiliar with Beautisol, the company is known for their self-tanners and related products. The Exscrub Me? Citrius Exfoliating Scrub is advertised to be used before applying their self-tanning products. The Founder, Sinead Norenius, is actually a beauty blogger and license aesthetician which I think is pretty cool!

Exscrub Me? Citrus Face Exfoliant $17.00
Here is what is said about the exfoliant on the Beautisol site:

"What it is:
Exscrub Me?™ is a gentle, yet effective citrus face exfoliant that is the perfect solution for removing dead skin cells and impurities prior to a face self-tan application.
What's included:
  • 2 fl. oz. Citrus Face Exfoliant
What it does:
  • Exfoliates and cleanses the face, preparing it for a flawless self-tan application
Features & benefits:
  • Formulated for all skin types
  • Provides a smooth and even surface for a perfect self-tan application
  • Contains fine Jojoba beads to physically remove the dead skin cells
  • Infused with certified organic orange peel, lemon, and grapefruit extracts, leaving the skin cleansed and rejuvenated
  • Paraben-free, propylene glycol-free, sodium laurel/laureth sulfate-free, and cruelty-free (PETA certified)"

On to my thoughts...This exfoliant has a nice citrus smell that reminds me of oranges. It is more harsh than my daily exfoliant, so I probably would not use this every day. I would most likely use it once a week or every couple weeks. Some people may be comfortable using this 2x a week depending on what their skin is like. It is an abrasive scrub so if you don't like those type of scrubs, this product is not for you. I felt like you needed to REALLY wet your face in order to use this product. I found that using this with a damp face was very hard since the formula is very dry. After using this scrub, my skin did feel really clean and soft.

Overall, this is a nice exfoliant. The fact that it is cruelty free is a huge plus for me. It has a nice subtle scent and really does what it claims to.
