Review: Rimmel Glam'Eyes Shadow Quad in Crown Jewels

Hi Ladies!
I wanted to do a quick review on the Rimmel Glam'Eyes Shadow Quad in Crown Jewels and show you the look that I created with it. I recieved this as one of the items in a gift bag that I won in a sponsored giveaway. I got a ton of new Rimmel products so I will be reviewing the ones worth talking about. First up is this quad. These colors are not normally ones that I would pick out for myself so I was happy to try something outside of my comfort zone.

This quad is all shimmers which is OK but I prefer a mixture. You can get this quad at Walgreens for $5.49. It has a pearly shade, a purple, a silvery blue, and a purplish brown. On the back it gives you a little guide on where you could put each color to create a look. I followed this guide to create the look below.

Here are swatches of each:

Here is the look that I created using this palette:
Eyeshadow-Rimmel Glam' Eyes Quad Eyeshadow in Crown Jewels
Lids-Blue Shade
Crease-Brown Shade
Outer V-Purple Shade
Brow Highlight-White/Silver Shade
Lower Lashline-Purple Shade
Waterline-Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Upper Lash Line-Rimmel Scandaleyes Gel Eye Liner
Shadow Base-Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
Cheeks- Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sun Light and MAC Blush in Warm Soul
Face Highlight-Highlight Shade from Motives 3-1 Contour, Bronze and Highlight Kit
Brows-Anastasia Dipbrow in Auburn and Anastasia Clear Brow Gel
Lashes-Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
Face Primer-Rimmel Stay Matte Primer
Foundation-bareMinerals Loose Powder Foundation in Medium Beige and Original Mineral Veil
Contour- Contour Shade from Motives 3-1 Contour, Bronze and Highlight Kit
Concealer-Nyx HD Photogenic Concealer in Beige and Yellow and Nyx Dark Circle Concealer in Light
Lips-Rimmel Stay Glossy in Non Stop Glamour

Overall, I really liked this palette. The colors are creamy and go on nice. They aren't the most pigmented drug store shadows but they are definitely pretty. One thing that I didn't love is that these shadows did not last as long as the rest of my eyeshadows (drugstore and high end). Not that all shadows are expected to last for 10 hours a day, but by the time I got home from work, I did notice that the colors have faded. By the time I took off my makeup before bed, there was a ton of creasing and the blue was almost completely gone from my lids. I have done this look twice and used two different types of shadow primes/bases and it happened with both. I have worn Motives and Urban Decay shadows for this long and they still look amazing by the time I am ready to take off. This was not the case with these shadows. Would I purchase this quad myself? I am not quite sure. I REALLY love the colors but the wear time makes me hesitate. I will have to pay more attention throughout the day to how long the shadows actually last.

Have you used any Rimmel Glam'Eyes Shadow Quads? What are your thoughts on them? Post your comments below!
